2010 Olympic Torch Relay

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Yesterday the Olympic Torch Relay came through Steinbach. Ariel got to attend the ceremonies at the mall with her class and then we picked all three kids up from school over lunch to watch the torch go past our house. One of the hand offs took place half a block from our house so the kids got to enjoy watching that as well.

Yes – I stole graphics off the Olympics website lol.

Quick & Easy Gift Box

Monday, December 21st, 2009

I saw this video featured on Scraptime today and figured it was worth sharing:) It shows you how to take a piece of 12×12 scrapbooking paper, a few scraps of paper and ribbon, and turn it into a cute little gift bag. I know this will come in handy next time I forget to buy wrapping paper for one of the kids’ friends lol. It’s also a great way to use up extra papers laying around.

Christmas Scrap Pages

Monday, December 14th, 2009

Wow – it has been a quiet couple of week here at the blog. Sorry about that – it’s been a very busy couple weeks and there is lots to share but I just haven’t had time!   I finally did a little scrapbooking today so here is a few things for you:

We put up the Christmas tree today. My kids have been complaining all week that they are the ONLY kids at school who don’t have a tree up yet lol. Anyway – I have been waiting to be able to play around with this Cozy Winter kit from My Creative Pixels Designs. I am a guest designer on her Creative Team this month and have been having fun playing with her gorgeous kits!

I also scrapbooked pictures of Ariel’s performance with the Southwood School Choir at the SCU last week. Thank you Mom for taking pictures for me!  This page was done using the In A Manger Mini Kit from My Creative Pixels Designs which is on sale right now for $1 – seriously – and it has the whole nativity scene in the kit. Definitely a must have for any digiscrapper.

Curly Locks

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

One of my digital scrapbook groups had a challenge this weekend to create a layout based on a nursery rhyme or song. I was searching nursery rhymes online and found this one:

Curly Locks, Curly Locks, will you be mine,
You shall not wash dishes, nor feed the swine,
But sit on a cushion and sew a fine seam,
And sup upon strawberries, sugar and cream.

I immediately thought of this pictures of my niece from Christmas with her beautiful curly hair.
