My New Mirror

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

I have a large wall in my dining room behind the table that has been empty for 3 years now and I haven’t been able to decide what to do with it. At a Partylite party last month, I was inspired by a photo showcasing a set of sconces on either side of a framed mirror. I loved it – so I purchased the sconces and decided to try and find a mirror.

Anyway – last weekend I found the perfect framed mirror at Superstore for $60. I showed it to Dave and he said he could make the same thing for much cheaper. So we went to the second hand store and bought a mirror that used to be part of a dresser set for $5. The materials for the frame cost about $5 and we stained it to match the table that Dave built for me.

Now I just need to pick up some tapers. I had grabbed two from Dollarama last week but I left them beside the baseboard heater lol. How was I to know it would be so cold that we’d turn on the heaters this week?
