Dave and I have never been financially savvy or even all that financially responsible to be honest – and I guess as we reach 30 and our kids all head off to school, we’re reaching the point where we’d like to start getting ahead. With two incomes and no day care come September, its time to get serious about how we handle our money and get ourselves out of debt so we can buy a house. We currently have about $65K in debt and our goal is to get that paid of in 3-4 years. So – like everything I decided to learn – I have been reading and this week I picked up a copy of MoneySense magazine. It’s a great magazine and this particular issue is their 10th anniversary issue so they had a special feature talking about typical financial decades (the 20s, 30s, etc). It was reassuring to hear that most people spend their 20s spending money unwisely – but the problem is that most people are nearing the end of their 20s when they start building a family and are starting to be more responsible financially by the time they have children. Since Dave and I started at 18/19 we’re kind of a mix of the average 20s and 30s. More expenses and responsibilities then the average 20 something year old – but without any more financial smarts or experience.
Messy right? But we’re fixing that lol…..

My weight!! I have been doing a pretty good job of losing weight this year – I lost 30 lbs from Jan-April and then hit a plateau. That is until the week of our anniversary when I put on 10 lbs!! I have managed to lose only 2 of those 10 lbs since then and it is driving me nuts. No matter how hard I tried, the weight just seems to want to hang on! AAAAAAAA

I have been working on scrapbook pages from the pictures of our anniversary celebration. I took up digital scrapbooking recently (less mess, less cost) and so I have been creating digital pages. You can see finished ones on facebook but here are a few of my favorites:
